Tooth Replacement

At Dr. Elias’, we offer custom-designed, fixed bridges to replace lost teeth and eliminate unsightly gaps in our patients’ smiles. Bridges involve the suspension of replacement teeth between natural teeth on either side of the space. Our non-removable, natural-looking, tooth-colored bridges provide our patients with peace of mind and the comfort of knowing their replacement teeth are secured in place.

Here are some qualities of our bridges:

  • Fixed, non-removable
  • Natural-looking, tooth-colored
  • Esthetically pleasing
  • Easier maintenance than dentures
  • Ability to chew wider variety of foods without discomfort
  • Custom-designed to match proportions of adjacent natural teeth

Complete Dentures

We provide well-fitting, natural-looking, complete dentures that replace all of the natural teeth in the upper jaw, lower jaw or both, sitting on the soft gum tissue of the mouth that covers the jawbones. We make a point to properly design your dentures and position the teeth to help restore good speech and a natural, youthful appearance. These dentures can also be fitted to implants for even greater retention, fit and feel.

Dental Implants

Our dental implants can provide the ideal, long-term solution to missing teeth. Made of titanium, these implants function similar to a tooth root. The implants are placed into the jawbone and provide a secure anchor for replacement teeth without putting force on the remaining natural teeth, as with a conventional partial denture or bridge. We offer our patients implants that look and feel like natural teeth and may be used to replace single or complete sets of teeth. They may also be used as anchorage under sets of complete dentures.

Partial Dentures

PartialsOur removable, partial dentures are offered for those with some natural teeth remaining. As with a bridge, the missing teeth are replaced by this type of denture using both the soft tissue ridge and teeth to hold them securely in place.

Here are some advantages to using partial dentures:

  • Removable (on a daily basis)
  • Easier maintenance
  • Less costly than non-removable solutions
  • Can serve as interim solution before dental implants
  • Can serve as long-term solution because of health/economic considerations

Tooth Restoration & Enhancement

Clear Braces

We offer clear orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign® and ClearCorrect™ to move teeth inconspicuously and enhance the esthetics of the smile while avoiding traditional orthodontic appliances. This access to less noticeable braces helps our patients retain confidence in their smiles throughout the braces process.

Ceramic Crowns

Our crowns (also known as caps) offer long-term solutions for any tooth which is badly decayed, has a large filling or is unsightly. A crown may cover and replace all or part of a tooth and is used to restore teeth to their natural shape, color and size. Crowns not only have cosmetic appeal but also have the potential to save teeth that might otherwise be lost.

Cosmetic Bonding

Our cosmetic bonding service is a conservative treatment designed to modify or enhance the color, shape and size of teeth to ensure the best smile possible. Correcting discolored or poorly shaped teeth and unwanted spacing or lengthening of the teeth can all be achieved in one visit!

Dental Fillings

At Dr. Elias’, we use composite resin, or “white,” fillings exclusively to fill back teeth. Here are some benefits to using white fillings:

  • Closer match to shade and shape of tooth
  • Natural in function and appearance
  • Bonding agents eliminate sensitivity to temperature and foods
  • Can replace old, silver amalgam fillings
  • Can restore new cavities

Porcelain Veneers

Dr. Elias’ provides custom-made veneers, thin, porcelain shells designed to cover the front surfaces of the teeth.

Here are some conditions under which one may consider undergoing the veneers procedure:

  • Unsightly or inappropriate size of teeth (too small or too big)
  • Uneven surfaces of teeth
  • Oddly shaped teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Small holes in teeth
  • Old fillings
  • Discolored teeth

Tooth Whitening

At Dr. Elias’, we want your tooth whitening experience to be as prompt and satisfying as possible. Tooth whitening can be completed in a single, one hour dental visit (Zoom procedure) or even in the comfort of your home. For patients whitening at home, we provide custom-made trays used for one to two weeks depending on desired shade and starting point. One of our most popular procedures, tooth whitening results in dramatic color improvements and an overall brighter smile. Also, unlike many over-the-counter whitening products, our procedure is long-lasting and results in significantly whiter teeth. With simple post-whitening care, your new smile will last for years to come!

Preventative Dentistry

In addition to cosmetic dentistry, we provide a variety of preventative dental treatments such as:

  • Dental cleaning and polishing
  • Gum and soft tissue health
  • Oral cancer exams using VELscope technology
  • Blood pressure readings
  • Blood glucose readings
  • Sealants to prevent cavities
  • Fluoride treatments to strengthen enamel and treat sensitivity

Facial Esthetics

Botox® (BTX-A), also call Dysport®, is a therapeutic and cosmetic agent used to relax muscles and reduce or eliminate wrinkles in the face. It is also used to relax and lessen the effects of jaw muscle contraction, clenching and grinding and can sometimes lessen or eliminate pain in certain forms of headaches and migraines. The procedure takes only minutes and begins taking effect in one to three (1-3) days, taking full effect in two to three (2-3) weeks and in three to four (3-4) months expressing its lasting effectiveness.

The acceptance of BTX-A use for the treatment of muscle pain disorders is growing, with approvals pending in many European countries. The efficacy of BTX-A in treating a variety of other medical conditions (including prosthetic dysfunction, asthma, esophageal spasms, overactive bladder and others) is an area of continued study.

Why Choose a Cosmetic Dentist for Botox® and Dermal Fillers? Dentists are very familiar with two things: the function of each muscle in the face and the administration of intra-oral injections. One of the biggest advantages of getting these procedures done in a dental office is having the reassurance that Botox® and dermal fillers will be delivered in a completely painless manner.

Dentists have also been trained in the oral and maxillofacial areas (chin to forehead) as much, or more than, any other healthcare professional that is allowed to deliver Botox® and dermal fillers. Dentists’ knowledge of these areas, in addition to having the ability to take care of complications in facial areas, makes them the provider of choice for Botox® and dermal filler procedures. Also, a dentist is a master in the knowledge of facial expression muscle dynamics.

Botox® was introduced about 20 years ago to reduce frown lines between the eyes, but today the cosmetic application has multiple advantages. Although the most common areas treated are the forehead, between the eyes, corners of the eyes and occasionally the corners of the mouth, Botox® can also reduce pain and enhance a patient’s smile. Botox® blocks the release of neurotransmitters on the motor nerves that govern movement and prevent them from contracting. Therefore, it can be used as a muscle relaxer to reduce chronic facial pain and teeth grinding and serve as an alternative to surgical treatment of “gummy smiles” (when the patient raises the upper lip too high while smiling, so pink gum tissue shows).

Dermal fillers, which provide an appearance of fullness at the injection site and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, are mostly used for marionette lines, corners of the mouth, lip augmentation and deeper folds. They are also used to plump sagging or depressed cheeks, smooth irregular contours or humps in the nose, fill recesses or deficient chins and smooth the jaw line to remove the appearance of jowls. The results are visible immediately, and dermal filler therapy can last ten to 12 months.

Dr. Elias has had extensive, advanced training in the use of Botox® and fillers and has many happy patients.
